Encompassing an area of 360,000 square metres along the picturesque coast between Ricasoli Point and Valletta’s Grand Harbour, SmartCity Malta offers a harmonious blend of office, residential and retail spaces, with a third of the land designated as open areas for all to enjoy. The recently launched residential development is a multi-purpose complex on the seafront, with food & beverage facilities as well as retail outlets, and 3 levels of parking. EM Architects's main challenge within the design of the SmartCity Malta was the need to achieve a balance between the maximisation of residential space that gets to enjoy incredible sea views as well the unique Laguna views and the resulting building morphology.
