This project forms part of the rehabilitation works being carried out by EM Architects in the Cottonera Waterfront. The Treasury Building has been carefully and respectfully converted into a retail, and catering complex. The project restored the former glory of the building through the conservation of its façade and interior, and through the insertion of a discrete yet contemporary circulation staircase. The interior vaults have been converted to accommodate a number of offices, while the ground floor has been dedicated to restaurants.

The project has been awarded the prestigious Din L’Art Helwa Award for Architectural Heritage for 2006.
