EM Architects were charged with the complete architectural and structural design of a new residential complex located in a prime location along the Sliema seafront. The works included the demolition of the Forestals showrooms and stores and the construction of a luxury residential complex consisting of over 100 units. Phase one of the project has already been completed and some of the apartments have already been completely, with EM Architects being entrusted also with the interior design of certain units. Phase 2 of the construction works are currently underway. Our design included diagonal piloti columns which services to break up the linearity of the residential block and also provide a larger open public space at street level.
This project was awarded a commendation in the Design Award for Good Architecture, Building and Structure category by the Planning Authority
