EM Architects.

EM Architects have been entrusted with the complete architectural and structural design of the Fortina complex in Sliema. Demolition works have already been completed and construction works are underway to construct a new 15-storey complex as well as raise the existing Fortina tower to a total of 23 storeys. With our design, we sought to improve the existing Sliema skyline, by ensuring a smooth transition between the existing surrounding structures in the area which include existing high-rise structures. During our design process, we wished to also focus on creating spaces which could be enjoyed by the public, and we therefore included open spaces for the public to enjoy. Our design also includes car parking facilities. The building will enjoy picturesque views of Valletta.
